ABOUT LOWER EDMONTON
The Lower Edmonton area is situated to the lower East of the Borough and is very popular with families having the highest proportion of Black Caribbean residents within the Enfield Borough. Whilst the ward lacks any significant public open space it is close to the A406 North Circular providing excellent transport into East or West London. The area is also not far from Lee Valley which is being enhanced for the 2012 Olympics.
Based on 2004 population surveys there were 4,989 households and 12,686 people living in the Lower Edmonton area. Around 67% of homes are owner-occupied.
